EXAM SUCCESS Plus is a subscription-based service that offers students at FCE, CAE and CPE level exam preparation above and beyond what is already on the main Flo-Joe site. It is a managed programme of self-study designed to help you organise your exam preparation into effective chunks. EXAM SUCCESS Plus is based on a login system, which requires a valid username/password to access it.
Is the current Series updated for the latest FCE exam?
Yes. The latest Series of FCE Exam Success Plus which is available for subscription is designed for students planning to take the updated FCE.
Who is it for?
EXAM SUCCESS Plus is for students who are preparing for FCE, CAE or CPE. (For more information about these exams please visit the 'About FCE/CAE/CPE' areas in the main Flo-Joe site.) It can also be used by the General English student who wants to improve his/her English and who enjoys studying online, or those who are preparing for other language exams such as IELTS.
What language areas and skills are covered?
EXAM SUCCESS Plus is designed to give you exam-style practice and skills-building in Reading and Use of English (Paper 1) and Writing (Paper 2). In each unit the following areas are covered:
Two Grammar and/or Vocabulary topics relating to Paper 1 Use of English, with an explanation and tests in exam-format.
A model answer for an exam-style Paper 2 (Writing) task.
An exam-style Practice test for a Paper 1 Reading and Use of English
Word of the Day Revision Test, containing 5 phrasal verbs, 5 different collocations and 15 word formations.
What about listening and speaking skills?
EXAM SUCCESS Plus does not cover Listening (Paper 3) or Speaking (Paper 4) directly, although as your proficiency in English improves - through the acquisition of new words and phrases - it will enhance your skills in these areas too. Of course, we advise you to make the most of your opportunities to practise speaking and listening both in and outside the classroom.
How many hours of instruction is included each unit in EXAM SUCCESS Plus?
This depends on how much time you have to devote to studying but we estimate it will take the average student around 26 hours in total. (Approximately 2 hours per unit.)
Can I get help from a teacher?
If you have questions about the exercises in Exam Success Plus, send them in to Flo-Joe and we will try to help. We also invite subscribers to join us and other students on one of our live tutorials.
Can I get my writing marked?
Writing feedback is not included in the cost of Exam Success Plus. However, in the 13-unit course we will provide you with a model answer to the latest writing task that appears on the Flo-Joe website with key points highlighted. For FCE Exam Success Plus subscribers who wish to get feedback on their writing we offer an additional subscription service called FCE Critique and Correction.

A single user subscription will give access to EXAM SUCCESS Plus for 1 year for the following cost.

What do I have to do to subscribe to EXAM SUCCESS Plus?
After you purchase a subscription you will create your own username and password that you need to login each time.
Can I download Exam Success Plus?
No. Exam Success Plus is a managed, online course which is not available for download. Occasionally, we may make downloadable pdf files available to support your learning but these are supplementary resources, not the core course materials.
How do I pay?
We sell our courses through Gumroad. You will be able to pay by credit card, Paypal or Google Pay.
How soon can I use EXAM SUCCESS Plus once I have paid?
After you have paid you will be directed to a page to create an account on our membershp site. Once you have done this you will have access to the course.
How long does my membership to the EXAM SUCCESS Plus course last?
Your subscription is valid for 1 year.
It's more than halfway through the programme. Can I still sign up?
Yes. You can sign up at any time in the current series. Flo-Joe archives all the materials from previous weeks so they are available for you to use for the full duration of your password account.
I'm doing the exams soon. If I sign up can I work at my own speed and do future Units?
Yes. To help you manage your exam preparation we publish a new unit each week for 13 weeks at the dates indicated in the syllabus. However, for those who do not want to study at this managed pace, there's a link from the Exam Success Plus homepage to access future units.
What's the difference between Series 1 and Series 2?
Series 1 and Series 2 are two separate packages, each with different exercises, that run one after the other. Series 2 is currently available for subscription and will be updated each week until 26th May 2024. Subscription to Series 1 will begin on 27th May 2024.
Are there any special hardware or software requirements to access EXAM SUCCESS Plus?
No. If you can view all the the resources on the Flo-Joe site you will also be able to access EXAM SUCCESS Plus without a problem.

What happens if I want to change my password?
When you login you will be able to request that a new password is sent to you. Please ensure you keep your username and password details safe.
What happens if I forget my password?
Using your username or the email address you supplied when registering, you can request a new password is sent to you at the login page.
What happens if I give my password to someone else?
A subscription is for one user only and must not be shared with another person. (Before you buy a subscription you will be asked to sign the conditions of use to say that you agree with this condition.) Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully to make sure you are aware of what will happen if this condition is breached.
Is there a limit to the number of times I can do the tests and exercises?
No. You visit the EXAM SUCCESS Plus pages as often as you like.
How can I access the #askthetutor support?
We are currently running a regular tutorial session for Exam Success Plus subscribers. Dates and times are advertised in your membership area. Please note that these are group, not individual tutorials. We also answer any questions subscribers may have asked us through emails.
