Flo-Joe website wins major British Council Innovation Award

Fiona Joseph, the co-founder of Flo-Joe, was presented with an award at a prestigious ceremony held in London on 20 March 2003. The 'ELT Innovation Awards' were established by the British Council to recognise and reward innovative and successful products and services for English as a Foreign Language which have originated in the United Kingdom. The Flo-Joe website won one of three available awards and was picked from a shortlist of 12 finalists.

Entries were judged on the extent to which they were "innovative, effective and practical" and the Flo-Joe website was praised for the range of information and resources it has relating to Cambridge exams. Fiona Joseph, who established the website in 2000, said she was "absolutely thrilled" to have won such an important award. "On behalf of the Flo-Joe team I would like to thank all of the teachers and students who regularly visit the Flo-Joe website for their continued support. We look forward to a successful 2003 and to expanding even further our range of Exam Success products."

The 'ELT Innovation Awards' are also part of the Prime Minister's Initiative to maintain and enhance the UK's reputation for excellence and innovation in the field of English language teaching.
